Jeremiah Johnson



Jeremiah Johnson was raised on a fruit and flower farm in the mountains of north central Pennsylvania. He received his BFA from the Tyler School of Art of Temple University and eventually went on to get his MFA in print, paper and book arts from Syracuse University.

Johnson makes artwork about culture folklore and survival both at home in Williamsport Pennsylvania and Vung Tau Province in Vietnam. His work is included in several collections including the State Museum of Pennsylvania, the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke Virginia, the Sundqvist Collection in Karlstad Sweden and the Servais Collection in Brussels Belgium.

Recent exhibitions include NYC Art on Paper 2018, The Story of Job at AHA Fine Arts NY, The City at the Susquehanna Museum of Art, Art of the State at the State Museum, Country Living at the Samek Art Museum and Alter Ego at the Taubman Museum of Art. Johnson teaches Drawing at Bloomsburg University as well as Printmaking, Painting, 2-D Design, 3-D Design at Lycoming College and Bucknell University and operates a maker space for the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
