| Five graduate students from the Master of Education program in Counseling & College Student Affairs traveled to Western PA to attend the 28th annual Pennsylvania College Personnel Association. The conference spanned two and half days and covered a variety of contemporary issues in College Student Affairs and Higher Education Administration. Dr. Mark Bauman, Assistant Professor in the program, also presented a session entitled “Experiences of Student-Veterans.” | |

| Program Overview & Mission | |
The M.Ed. is a two year, full-time program (or 3 years part-time) requiring 57 credits of coursework. Students are provided an eclectic curriculum of theory, research and practical application in each of the three tracks: Elementray School Counseling, Secondary School Counseling, or College Student Affairs. Although each student must select one track in which to specialize, students are welcome to select two for a dual certification. To overarching mission of the M.Ed program is to provide quality education and training to future elementary and secondary school counselors and college student affairs practitioners. The program blends theory, research and application in an effort to provide a well-rounded experience for all students. The M.Ed program is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Additionally, the program has been designed to meet current CACREP standards and will be seeking offical CACREP accreditation in the near future.
