New stuff
The weather station is back online, with a new computer and new software. Check out our new look and information.

Rain Gauge:

 We've known for some time that the rain gauge isn't doing its job properly.  Basically, the top doesn't fit correctly and interferes with the tipping bucket mechanism.  We are working on getting a new rain gauge that will have the added feature of reporting the liquid-water equivalent of snowfall.

Computer:

 We have a new weather computer on the way.  The current computer is old and has some trouble with the weather station software.  You may notice that the weather station observations are off by one hour (it is not on Daylight Savings Time), sometimes other features are unavailable, and although the readings should update every five minutes, they sometime don't do it.  Hopefully, a new computer will solve these problems.
