Bloomsburg University Honors Program Application
Admission Requirements of Prospective Students
In order to apply for admission to the Honors Program at Bloomsburg University, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications.
Freshmen
New freshmen applying for admission to the program must have a total Math, Reading, and Writing SAT score of at least 1730, with a minimum of 550 in each category. Candidates must also rank in the top 20 percent of their high school class. The class rank criteria may be waived for students with a combined SAT greater than 1800.
Current BU Students
We encourage current BU students to apply for admission to the Program. Admission is based on academic performance at Bloomsburg University. A minimum grade point average of 3.25 required.

Henry Carver Fund (HCF) Honors Scholarships
We generally award 4-6 $1500 HCF Freshman Honors scholarships. There is no application for this award. These awards are usually finalized after a review of all candidates and are based on the application material and candidate interviews. Scholarship winners will be notified by mail.
We also award several $500 HCF Honors Scholarships. These awards are for students in good standing in the Program and there is a more formal application process. Applications are due by March 29, 2013. The application form is here.
