What Instructors Need to Know About BOLT

BOLT Upgrade Completed

The upgrade will change the way BOLT looks but will NOT affect the functionality or tools that are available. All of the work that you and your students have completed will not be affected. This upgrade is mainly a graphical user interface change. You can click here to view the recorded upgrade webinar.Directions on how to navigate the 'new' BOLT can be found in the course 'BOLT Help' directly in BOLT. Log in to BOLT using your full BU email address and password. Click 'Select a course' as shown below in order to access your course list.

The Instructional Media and Design Center in AL 206 will be open January 2nd through January 25th Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM for individual assistance. Normal hours will begin on January 28th.

new icon2013 Summer Courses

  • 2013 Summer courses will be loaded into BOLT on Friday April 26th, so you can copy content and begin setting up your courses. Note, the courses are set to INACTIVE. You will need to set them to ACTIVE in order for students to have access to your course.
  • Students will be loaded into the 2013Summer courses on May 9th.
  • Allow at least 24-48 hours from the time a student drops/adds a course for the Classlist to update.

Faculty/Staff Login Information

  • Your BOLT username is your full Bloom U. email address
      • Example: jwolfe2@bloomu.edu
  • Your BOLT password is the same as your email password or password you use to log into computers on campus.

BOLT Updates

  • Additional BOLT Help Desk Option for Faculty: The student workers in the IMD Center are taking calls (570-389-2888), email (bolthelp@bloomu.edu), and walk-ins for BOLT support on Monday – Thursday 8:00AM - 7:00PM and Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM. (The Center is open from 8:00AM - 4:00PM over break)
