Dear International Student Applicant:

We are delighted that you expressed an interest in our graduate programs at Bloomsburg University and have enclosed the information you requested.

A nonrefundable U.S. $30 processing fee is required with all applications. This fee is to be paid by an "International Money Order." Personal checks, bank drafts, demand drafts, and the like are not acceptable. Applications cannot be processed unless the fee is paid.

The expense of an international student for a period of two semesters (nine months) is estimated at $19,000 (nineteen thousand dollars). This amount includes such items as tuition, fees, text books, in addition to room and board expenses for two semesters (excluding summer months). You should also add travel expenses to and from Bloomsburg to calculate total expenses for the year. As tuition and fees tend to increase every year, you may need additional money in the subsequent years. An original bank statement is required with your confidential statement of finances. It is always prudent to arrange funds for the duration of the program before leaving your home country. Please note that there are no guarantees for financial assistance.

A minimum score of 550 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required of all international applicants. The score on the Test of Spoken English (TSE) is also required of applicants from countries where this test is administered. Some programs have special admission requirements including the GRE, GMAT, MAT. Review the enclosed information for program requirements. Test scores must be received by our office before your file is processed for review.

Should you need further information, please feel free to write or contact our office at (570) 389-4015. We are open Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). Best wishes in your educational endeavors.

Sincerely,

James F. Matta
Interim Dean of Graduate Studies & Research
