Dr. Stephen Clickard

Dr. Stephen D. Clickard, Professor of Music, was appointed to the Bloomsburg University music faculty in 1998. He directs the BU Jazz Ensemble, Wind Ensemble and Concert Band. In addition, Dr. Clickard teaches courses in undergraduate conducting, jazz history, jazz improvisation, music education, and the brass studio. Dr. Clickard is past-president of the International Association for Jazz Education’s Pennsylvania Unit, and of the California Music Educator’s Association – Central Coast Section. He is a former administrator of the Monterey Jazz Festival’s Summer Jazz Camp and is a contributing author for the books “A Composer’s Insight – Volumes 1 and III”. Dr. Clickard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from San Jose State University, a Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting from The University of Northern Colorado, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Wind Conducting from the University Of Washington.

 

Dr. Clickard is the director of The Clickard Consortium, “Little Big Band”, which Recently released it’s first CD - “REMEMBRANCE”   - Click Here for More Info
