Vehicle Registration

All motor vehicles must be registered with the University Police Department. Parking on campus illegally, or without the necessary pass will result in ticketing of vehicle at an hourly rate, $15.00 per ticket. Depending on your status with the University, the registration process varies. Please find below the general directions/registration process that apply to your particular standing with the University.

VISITORS:
If you are visiting campus for the day you must stop in the Bloomsburg University Police Station (below the bookstore) or the Buckingham Maintenance Center to get a visitor day pass. With this, you will be able to park anywhere on campus except specially reserved, metered parking, or handicap spaces. If you are visiting a resident on campus and staying overnight, you must stop in the police station and get an overnight pass. You must bring your driver’s license and registration. Also, the person who you are staying with must come with you and present their student ID.

FACULTY/STAFF:
Faculty/staff have the opportunity to register up to three different vehicles. In order to register your vehicle(s) you must come to the University Police station (below the bookstore) and present your driver’s license and vehicle registration card(s). You then will receive a hang tag making you eligible to park in red faculty/staff lots. Every time you drive a different registered vehicle, you simply transfer the hang tag.  If you forget your hang tag, you must come to the police department and receive a temporary day pass.

STUDENTS:
All students who are driving/ and or parking a vehicle on the Bloomsburg University Campus must register their vehicle in accordance with the University Police Department. Parking decals are issued when vehicles are registered. The first step of the registration process is for students to register their vehicle through STINF. Once this is complete, students must finish the registration process by attending the registration dates that exist at the beginning of every semester. At this time, they must present their driver’s license and a valid vehicle registration (owner’s card). When students obtain a decal, they must properly display the decal on the vehicle according to the University Parking Regulations. Any Bloomsburg University commuter student who is not a permanent resident of Bloomsburg must show some form of acceptable identification with name and local address. More detail, including where students may park, may be found on the Bloomsburg University student registration page.
