48.101 General Psychology

Description: Studies psychology as a system of scientific inquiry into the nature and behavior of humans. Presents major concepts, principles and processes concerned with human functioning in individuals and social settings. (3 semester hours credit)

Prerequisites: None

Note: Must have a C or better to continue as a Psychology Major.

Usually taught by: Dr. Astor-Stetson, Dr. Beck, & Dr. Mason

Generally offered: Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters

Additional Information: The MWF 9:00am General Psychology is the only mass lecture course offered by the Psychology Department.  All students have many opportunities each week to meet with Teaching Assistants for help with course material.

This course is required for Psychology Majors, required for Psychology Minors, and can fill a General Education requirement.
