
Description: Examines the personal and social meaning of psychological adjustment. Emphasizes stress and coping concepts and psychosocial competence in adulthood. (3 semester hours credit)

Additional Information: This course fulfills the University General Education requirement for Values, Ethics and Responsible Decision-Making. It requires active participation in class discussion and willingness to challenge one’s preconceptions and consider alternative psychological points of view. It concerns the application of psychological concepts and research to stress and coping in everyday adult life, emphasizing coping skills and techniques.
This course is an optional elective for Psychology Majors, an optional elective for Psychology Minors, and can fill a General Education requirement.
