48.160 Basic Statistics

Description: Introduces fundamental statistical concepts and principles providing a foundation for research methodology for students. Discusses computation, interpretation and application of commonly used descriptive, correlation, and inferential statistical procedures for analyzing data. (3 semester hours credit)

Prerequisites: None.

Note: Must have a C or better to continue as a Psychology Major.

Generally offered: Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters

Additional Information: This course is required for Psychology Majors.  It is recommended for Psychology Minors although other Statistics courses are accepted.  This course can used to meet the Quantitative-Analytical Reasoning General Education requirement.
