48.439 Introduction to Clinical Psychology

Description: Surveys clinical psychology and the role of the clinical psychologist in community and hospital mental health programs, clinical assessment and diagnosis. Examines concepts in and models of psychotherapy. (3 semester hours credit)

Prerequisites: 48.101 General Psychology, and either 48.335 Abnormal Psychology or 48.436 Theories of Personality

Generally offered: Fall semester every two years

Additional Information: This course is considered an elective for a Psychology Major.  It can be used to meet the requirements for a Psychology Minor and can fill a General Education requirement.
