The Women’s Resource Center as a component of the Student Life Division, is dedicated to supporting the educational mission of Bloomsburg University through the implementation of programs and activities aimed at improving the status of women on this college campus. Some of the services and activities include leadership development (in coordination with other BU programs), support/mentor groups, educational seminars and presentations, advocacy and networking.

The WRC is a "clearinghouse" of information and resources and a referral service to university and community resources that meet the needs of women on campus. These services will be provided in a manner that reflects a commitment to equity, mutual respect, diversity, and sensitivity to others.

Educational programs will be coordinated with other campus areas and resources and off campus agencies to enhance awareness of gender issues, address the needs of the female population and promote equity, advancement and empowerment of all women on campus.
