Research Army ROTC
Find out if BU Army ROTC is for you. Use this website, its links, and other sources to help you figure out if Army ROTC and serving as an Army Officer is what you would like to do.
Contact the BU Army ROTC Enrollment Officer at 570-577-1013 or the BU Army ROTC Officer-in-Charge at 570-389-2123. You may also send an e-mail to armyrotc@bloomu.edu. You may be interested in receiving information on Army ROTC scholarships as well, and the Enrollment Officer can help you with that.
Eligibility
Full-time freshman and sophomore students may enroll in Army ROTC with no commitment to the military. Students may choose to leave the program after their sophomore year or continue with the advanced course. Although preferable, students do not have to begin the program during their freshman fall semester. Additionally, some students with prior military service* may validate the basic course and enter directly into the advanced course at the beginning of their junior year. Contact the BU Army ROTC Officer-in-Charge or Enrollment Officer for more details.
*See the Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) section of this website if you are currently in the Army Reserve or Army National Guard (or if you plan to join while attending BU).
Sign-Up for the Course
Sign-up for an Army ROTC course the same way you would for any other academic course at Bloomsburg University. Army ROTC courses appear on this website and in the BU Academic Catalog under the Military Science Department. Contact the BU Army ROTC Officer-in-Charge for assistance.
Contact the BU Army ROTC Officer-in-Charge
Whether you have already spoken to the BU Army ROTC Officer-in-Charge during your research or not, contact him to ensure that you are scheduled for the proper course and that your name appears on the official class list. The Officer-in-Charge can answer questions you may have and can assist you with overcoming any difficulty you may encounter with scheduling your Army ROTC class.
