About Dr. Omori (back to contact page)
My main research interest is inequality among women, with special focus on women’s labor market participation and responsibilities at home. Also, I am interested in how people use their time and resources. My current research looks at women’s paid work hours (who works longer hours?), risk of divorce (who gets divorced? Is a working woman more likely to divorce?), and household chore hours (who actually does non-paid work?), and expenditure of lottery players (what else do they buy?).
I teach Research Methods, Social Statistics, Human Population Studies, and Computer Applications.
