Migrant Community Project



The Migrant Community Project is an alliance with Bloomsburg University, community organizations, and regional semi-permanent and transitory farm workers. These workers are employed by the dairy farming, lumbering, and vegetable and fruit harvesting and processing industries.

Two annual events:
  • Migrant Education Summer School 2008 late July and first half of August
    Dr.Caryn Terwilliger's course Teaching Literacy and Literature in Diverse Classrooms
    with a Read Around Celebration
  • College Bound Migrant Ed Student Day
    Bloomsburg University students host academically achieveing middle and high school students for a Saturday in April
