What's TRiO Upward Bound? TRiO Upward Bound is a federal grant program funded by the US Department of Education. The program at Bloomsburg University has been continously funded since 1978. TRiO Upward Bound provides young people with opportunities and assistance in exploring their potential for academic, social and personal growth. Its purpose is to provide equal access to post-secondary education for high school students by giving them adequate preparation. These goals are achieved by providing students with developmental work in areas where they may need help, enrichment where they are strong, and exposure to new areas where they have yet to be challenged. |
