May 7th TRiO UB@BU Alumni Lindsay Rabbits, Katie Seddon, Raylene Brill, Maggie Moyer and Tiffany Tobias participate in an Etiquette Dinner as guests of the Senior Seminar Series. Alumni in attendance not pictured include: Greg Hummel, Jorge Maldonado and Javius Galan.
	April 21st Congratulations to UB's very own summer science instructor, Kip Hoffman. Kip ran the Boston Marathon in 2:33:52, finishing 83rd overall out of over 25,000 runners!!! (52nd for all runners from the U.S. and 4th for all runners from the state of Pennsylvania). Way to go Kip!
April 16th TRiO UB@BU alumni were among the many students honored at the TRiO SSS Annual Banquet. Greg Hummel, soon-to-be graduate student at Colorado State University, and Jorge Maldonado, Class of 2007 Dell Scholar Recipient, are joined by Dr. David Soltz, Bloomsburg University's President.
	April 10th TRiO UB@BU alumni, Tiffany Tobias and Lauren Le, were recently awarded a fall 2008 textbook scholarship to the university store. This scholarship opportunity is made possible through by supporters of the TRiO UB@BU scholarship fund. Pictured: Tiffany
April 6th The TRiO UB@BU Alumni Association selected Empty Bowls as their spring 2008 service project. This intiative raises support for local food banks and soup kitchens. Pictured below, alumni Greg Hummel, Tiffany Tobias and Lindsay Rabbits, assisted by co-advisors, Tia Dreckman and Kate Bauman, staffed the "Children's Corner" leading a variety of activities.
April 1st Although it's "April Fools Day" this is no joke - the TRiO UB@BU Alumni Newsletter has returned from the printers and will soon be mailed to alumni around the world!
March 6th Thank you for the many surveys and photos you sent for inclusion in the Spring 2008 TRiO UB@BU Newsletter. We are happy to report that the newsletter is currently at the printer and will hopefully be making its way to your home shortly. In the meantime, we encourage you to mark your calendars for the 30th Reunion scheduled for Saturday, August 2, 2008. Invitations will be sent in early May. Committee members: Ruth Anne Bond, Kalicia Brungard, Greg Hummel, Angi & Mike Sienkiewicz, Cindy Stemrich, Alicia Zanella and co-chair Maureen Mulligan have been meeting regularly to plan a memorable evening for us all. For those of you active in the UB choir in summers past, start warming up those vocal chords, as Cindy is planning to bring you all together with the current choir for a special performance.
