Participation in TRiO Upward Bound is open to students who have completed 8th grade but have not yet entered 12th grade at one of our target schools listed below.

Berwick	Bloomsburg	Mahanoy Area
Milton	Mount Carmel	North Schuylkill
Pottsville	Shamokin	Shikellamy

Students qualify for enrollment by:

• Exhibiting academic potential and need for academic support
• Demonstrating enthusiasm toward learning
• Meeting income guidelines established by the U.S. Dept of Education
• Being a potential first generation college student (this means neither parent has a degree from a four-year post-secondary institution).It is okay if a sibling has a four year degree.
