Andrea PearsonAndrea Pearson, associate professor of Art History, specializes in Renaissance art of northern Europe.

Her recent book, Envisioning Gender in Burgundian Devotional Art, 1350-1530: Experience, Authority, Resistance (Ashgate, 2005), examines reciprocities between gender and religion in portraits of women and men.

She is editing a collection of essays on women and portraiture in the early modern world and is undertaking research for a book on gender and spectatorship at the Burgundian court.

She teaches Art History 31.360 (Women, Art and Society).
