  C.                 APPLIED EXPERIENCE FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE (Pass/Fail 3-9 credits required)

**43.495 – Criminal Justice applied experience is normally taken after the junior year for 3-9 credits.  One credit is equivalent to 40 hours at the placement site plus written requirements.  See your advisor, Drs. Barrile; Slone, or Donovan for more information on placements.

  *Students who have transferred into or who have applied to and have been accepted into the program are exempt from taking Criminal Justice Statistics or Criminal Justice Research if they have taken similar courses in another department at Bloomsburg University or if they have taken similar courses at another university and Bloomsburg University has accepted those courses on the student's official transcript.

  Students can use Criminal Justice Statistics (43-210)  for their "quantitative requirement" in general education but cannot use criminal justice courses, beyond the major requirements, to fulfill their free elective courses in general education.

Notes:
* Introduction to Criminal Justice 45:244 is a prerequisite for all of the other core courses in criminal justice.
** Criminal Justice Internship 45:495 is normally taken after the junior year for 6-15 credits in the summer, fall or spring semesters.  For every credit the student must have a supervised apprenticeship of 40 hours and fulfill the written requirements of the course syllabus.
